Temple Beth Shalom (Reform Jewish) and First Congregational United Church of Christ (FCUCC) have created a liaison in which both congregations share the same building equally — the fourth such liaison in the world!

Both communities of faith are dedicated to “Tikuun Olam,” committed to creating a relationship and a facility within which our two communities of faith share space and conduct our respective worship, as well as educational, social justice, and artistic endeavors.

This interfaith initiative creates and promotes sanctuary that is both “safe and sacred”, a space of great hope and inspiration for our respective and mutual futures. We can accomplish together, both in resources and public witness, what could never be accomplished alone.

“Will I really be welcome? Really?”

Whatever the reason for asking, we can offer new comers two things: read our “Open and Affirming Church Statement” above, and know that yes, we really mean it when we say, “No matter who you are, no matter where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here!” We really mean it! You will find among us a safe place, and you will find us warm and welcoming, willing and able to accompany you along your life’s journey.

First Congregational United Church of Christ
